6x8 Priestly Blessing
J1065
$24.00
Based on a traditional symbol (17th Century
Europe) for the Kohanim - the Priests in the
Temple - direct descendents of Ahron.
The hands are the hands of the Kohein as he blesses the congregation. The Hebrew text is the
beginning of the Blessing "Yivarechechah HaShem V'Yishmarechah" - "May HaShem bless
you
and safeguard you". It continues "May HaShem illuminate God's countenance for you and be
gracious to you. May HaShem turn God's countenance to you and establish peace for you."
Today in the Land of Israel, the Kohanim say this blessing over the congregation daily. Outside
the Land of Israel, the Kohanim only say this blessing over the congregation on Festivals.
Copy can be added for above and on the sides in Hebrew and/or English for a wonderful
Bar/Bat Mitzvah gift or birth announcement. See "Personalization" at the end of the tiles below
to order this at an extra charge
